Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care in an acute setting. The role requires coordination of care using the nursing process and strong collaboration with the health team.

The ideal candidate will hold an Illinois RN license, BSN, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with at least one year of related experience. On-call availability, English proficiency, and superior patient service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for all new hires after 01/01/2011.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• One year of experience in similar role.
• CPR - Basic Life Support.
• CPR - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Complies with Illinois Practice Act and ANA Standards.

Responsibilities

• Nursing process: collect data, plan, implement and evaluate.
• Direct care and use of any assistants appropriately.
• Involve patient/family in care, discharge planning.
• Ensure patient safety and reduce medical errors per safety goals.
• Assess and address pain; educate patient and family on pain management.
• Handoffs to next healthcare provider.
• Accept on-call assignments.
