Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System is seeking an RN 2 for a designated inpatient specialty area. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a patient group, with multi-system needs, in a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requires NH RN licensure and BSN preferred, along with BLS. The position reports to the Director/Nurse Manager and may supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse - New Hampshire Board of Nursing (NH BON)
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Gathers data through history taking and physical assessment and interprets data to plan and implement interventions.
• Develops, evaluates and revises patient’s plan of care and nursing actions.
• Documents care provided and patient’s progress toward outcomes.
• Directs and supervises others in delegated nursing activities.
• Teaches patients and significant others about the plan of care; prepares patients to manage care after discharge.
• Manages time and resources to deliver patient care.
• Administers medications to patients.
