Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. seeks an RN Level I to deliver inpatient nursing care using the nursing process, applying competent clinical knowledge and independent judgment for the patient care provided by self and delegated providers.

The role requires paraprofessional assessment, growth across life span, and collaboration with interprofessional teams to achieve quality outcomes. Licensure and BLS required; BSN preferred; 40 hours weekly; non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state where services are provided or a multi-state license via eNLC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient plans of care based on data collection and patient needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and family involvement.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members and patients.
