Job summary

Oro Valley Hospital, part of Northwest Healthcare, in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the GI Lab Endoscopy. The RN provides patient-centered care before, during, and after endoscopy procedures, collaborating with physicians and the care team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

Requirements include RN licensure (state or compact) with BCLS and ACLS, and 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure to practice in the state or compact license required.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required or as indicated by facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process for pre-, intra-, and post-endoscopy care.
• Administer medications, monitor patient vitals, and assist physicians during endoscopy procedures.
• Prepare endoscopy room, ensure instrument sterilization, and maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Document care, collaborate with care teams, and participate in continuous quality improvement.
