Job summary

Qualifications

• RN with Texas licensure, BLS, ACLS required
• 12 months RN experience in healthcare setting
• Permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing residency and PSv compact licensure compliance

Responsibilities

• Establish relationship with patients and families and collaborate on the plan of care.
• Contribute to teamwork; support unit operations and patient care needs.
• Provide staff education and preceptorship as needed, and participate in shared governance initiatives.
• Follow patient- and family-centered care standards and maintain medical records and consent.
• Develop, update and communicate care plans, including discharge planning, with patients and family.
• Provide patient teaching and adjust based on learning needs to ensure understanding.
• Support improvements in patient satisfaction and department performance metrics.
