Job summary

Qualifications

• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
• Texas RN licensure with temporary to permanent certification requirements
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification (AHA)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Uses therapeutic communication to establish relationships with patients, families and the interprofessional health care team to collaborate on the plan of care.
• Develops, updates and communicates plan of care, including discharge planning, with the patient and family.
• Leads or participates in unit activities; may serve as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees; supports service line or hospital-wide initiatives with management.
