Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville, KY, is seeking a hospital-based Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across age groups.

Under supervision, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; administer medications per policy; collaborate with the care team; and support patient education and discharge.

Candidates must have an Associate Degree in Nursing with KY RN licensure; BSN preferred; BLS and unit-specific certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current KY RN licensure or compact license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required for certain units.
• Two years hospital patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts systematic, continuous assessments of patient health status across the care continuum.
• Administers medications per licensure authority and documents timely per policy.
• Plans care using current knowledge and evidence, developing age-specific care plans with the team.
• Educates patients and families and assists with discharge planning and teaching.
• Maintains safety, regulatory compliance and professional standards.
