Job summary

The Cincinnati VAMC is seeking a Registered Nurse - Endoscopy to deliver foundational, knowledge-based care to patients undergoing endoscopy. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, and support education, self-management, and patient satisfaction across the continuum.

Responsibilities include pre/post-procedure assessment, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and maintaining endoscopy equipment.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE)
• Current, full, active, unrestricted nursing license in US state or territory (or District of Columbia)
• Nursing education that meets VA qualification standards
• Evidence-based practice and professional development requirements

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction across the continuum of care
• Delivers and manages care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures
• Performs pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure education
• Collaborates with patient, family, and interdisciplinary team for safe transitions of care
• Maintains endoscopy equipment and adheres to safety guidelines
