Job summary

Medical City Alliance, a partner hospital in the HCA Healthcare network, seeks an Endoscopy RN for PRN shifts (3 days per week) in the Fort Worth area. RNs evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families, and manage perioperative care with emphasis on safety and quality.

Requirements include an RN license in Texas, two years of clinical experience (endoscopy preferred), and BLS/ACLS; PALS within 90 days; CGRN within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required; BSN preferred; BSN must be obtained within 3 years.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience; endoscopy experience preferred.
• RN license eligible in Texas; BLS, ACLS required from an HCA approved vendor; PALS within 90 days; CGRN within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare the patient, including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical time-out, briefing and debriefing per policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies during care.
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for safe workflow.
• Document changes in patient condition and care provided.
