Job summary

Mount Carmel Grove City’s Endoscopy department, with 4 rooms, handles 20–30 inpatient and outpatient cases daily. The RN will participate in EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopy and manometry procedures, and enjoy working closely with proceduralists and anesthesia in a team-focused environment.

Within Ohio Nurse Practice Act guidelines, the RN delivers compassionate, evidence-based care, communicates clearly with the team and patients, documents accurately, and remains accountable for care

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• For Casual RNs 2 years of experience is required.
• All new graduate nurses with less than one year of clinical experience are subject to participate in the Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care and develops a plan of care with patient/family.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes according to standards.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documented by others as appropriate.
