Wake Endoscopy Center is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, hourly position at the Wake Endoscopy Center in Raleigh, NC. The role involves patient preparation through procedure completion in an outpatient setting, with collaboration among physicians and the care team.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license, have strong clinical judgment, and be committed to patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN license active
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher (BSN preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care throughout the endoscopy process
• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and workflow to support efficient case management
• Verify patient identity and procedure prior to transport and participate in procedural time-outs
• Prepare patients for procedures and communicate care needs with the healthcare team
• Provide patient education, comfort, and support while maintaining privacy and dignity
• Assist with patient positioning and monitor patient condition during procedures
• Interpret and carry out physician orders
• Handle and log tissue specimens
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and activity
• Prepare procedure rooms with equipment and supplies
• Ensure instruments meet disinfection and sterilization standards
• Support room turnover and cost-effective use of supplies
• Assist with inventory management and teamwork across departments
