Job summary

Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, NC seeks an Endoscopy RN for full-time day shift. Provide optimum nursing care within the Endoscopy suite, following professional standards and procedures, including pre- and post-procedure care.

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a North Carolina RN license, and maintain ACLS and BLS certifications. Responsibilities include patient preparation, chart review, instrument assistance, and recovery of sedated patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Current North Carolina nursing license as an RN.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for endoscopy procedure; patient prep and set up appropriate scope.
• Assist with pre-op and post-op calls for endoscopy patients.
• Assist with chart prep before endoscopy and cataract surgery cases.
• Review charts for completeness; verify consent and scheduled procedures.
• Assist surgeon with instruments and provide intraoperative support.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care.
• Facilitate recovery of sedated patients.
• Assist with ambulatory care responsibilities.
