Job summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center is hiring an Endoscopy Registered Nurse for a full-time, 40-hour work week. The RN will support physicians and patients in endoscopy procedures, educate patients about conditions and treatment plans, and participate in on-call rotations. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and adherence to infection control and procedural protocols in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required).
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience (Preferred).
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Endoscopy experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triages patient calls to facilitate appropriate treatment with providers.
• Obtains and documents patient history, vitals, and prepares patient for examinations.
• Assists providers in procedures and supports chart checks for completed testing.
• Administers medications and manages IVs per physician orders.
• Maintains sterile technique and prepares rooms between cases.
