Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Endoscopy RN to join a fast-paced team coordinating pre-procedure assessments, IV access, medication administration, and patient education.

The role supports physicians and anesthesia during endoscopic procedures, monitors sedation, and ensures safe post-procedure recovery and discharge instructions. SC licensure, BLS, and ACLS are required with preferred endoscopy experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current South Carolina or Compact State RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Previous Endoscopy or acute-care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for procedures.
• Establish IV access and administer medications as ordered.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Support physicians and the procedural team during endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patients receiving sedation and/or anesthesia.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Provide post-procedure recovery care and readiness for discharge.
• Educate patients on discharge and follow-up instructions.
