Job summary

The RN will provide direct patient care, monitor sedation under physician direction, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Training opportunities for advanced and pulmonary teams may be available.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions; modifies plan of care based on ongoing evaluation.
• Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting hazards and incidents.
• Communicates with others to resolve issues and provides feedback for professional development.
• Assists with anesthesia involvement as needed and supports the RN role in Digestive Health.
