Job summary

Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for Endoscopy in Detroit, MI. The RN will join the Patient Care Services Team, coordinating care for a group of patients and their families with leadership, collaboration, and teaching responsibilities.

Key duties include establishing relationships with physicians, delegating and evaluating patient care, and preparing patients for discharge. Requirements include RN licensure in Michigan and AHA BLS, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities.
