Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our endoscopy unit. You will provide direct patient care, assist physicians during procedures, manage medications, document in the EMR, and help maintain equipment and policies to support safe, efficient care.

Responsibilities include 24/7 on-call coverage, adherence to nursing policies, and collaboration with perioperative teams to improve performance.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
RN license is required.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
CGRN/CNOR are preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains unit supply and equipment inventories and reports malfunctions.
Assists in endoscope reprocessing and sterilization and maintains reprocessing records.
Reviews and updates nursing policies and procedures in the endoscopy unit.
Participates in development of unit goals and performance improvement.
Provides direct patient care and assists physicians during endoscopic procedures.
Implements physician orders and monitors patients during procedures with moderate sedation.
Maintains thorough electronic documentation in the EMR and floats to other surgical units as needed.
