Charleston Endoscopy Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy Unit. The RN will provide pre- and post-procedure care for GI endoscopy patients in a outpatient setting, following physician orders and center policies.
The role may involve supervising other licensed and unlicensed staff as directed by nursing leadership. Strong clinical judgment and teamwork are essential to ensure high-quality patient care in an outpatient facility.
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients on the Endoscopy Unit in terms of individual needs, according to physicians' orders and in conformity with recognized nursing practice and established policies and procedures. Tasks include, but are not limited to the pre-procedure and post-procedure care of patients scheduled for endoscopic and InterStim procedures. The Registered Nurse initiates and assists with emergency measures as needed. The Registered Nurse may supervise other licensed and unlicensed personnel as instructed by the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or Charge Nurse. The center is an outpatient facility equipped for diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy procedures. The patient population includes adolescent through geriatric with over 90% of patients age 30 or older. Medical care is managed by physicians who have been privileged and credentialed by the Board of Directors.
