Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Endoscopy Unit is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide pre-op, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care for a variety of outpatient and inpatient procedures. You will assess patients, assist during procedures with sedation and sterile technique, and monitor recovery toward discharge.

The role requires an active Virginia RN license (or compact), 1+ year of nursing experience, BLS/ACLS, and strong communication and teamwork to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or compact license)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; endoscopy, critical care, or procedural experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required

Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Pre-Op, Procedure, Recovery)

Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital - Endoscopy Unit Schedule: Full-Time, Days 4 days (Monday-Friday, 0730-1700) Call Requirements: 1-2 Weekday call shift 1700-0700 & 1 weekend a month

Reports To: Endoscopy Supervisor

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy Unit. This position involves comprehensive patient care across the continuum-pre-operative assessment, intra-procedure assistance, and post-procedure recovery-for a variety of outpatient and inpatient procedures. The Endoscopy RN plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care for patients undergoing procedures in pulmonary, gastroenterology, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialties.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
