Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Mary and Elizabeth Hospital Endoscopy in Louisville, KY. This leadership role oversees daily operations, staffing, budgeting, and quality of care to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Required ADN; BSN preferred and magnet designation requires BSN. Active Kentucky RN license (or compact) and BLS are required, ACLS preferred. Two years of acute care experience and prior management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred; Magnet designation requires BSN.
• At least two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting.
• Two (2) years of rehab experience and one (1) year with pediatric patients for Frazier Rehab (if applicable).
• Prior management experience is preferred.
• Active Kentucky RN license or compact license to practice in Kentucky is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred; national nursing certification in a specialty is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and strategic oversight of daily unit operations to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Leads staffing, onboarding, training, and competency development for nursing staff.
• Manages budgeting, productivity, and resource utilization to support cost-effective care.
• Ensures compliance with licensure, regulatory mandates, and accreditation standards.
• Fosters collaboration among medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Upholds the Code of Ethics for Nurses and promotes safety and quality improvement.
