Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas, is hiring a Registered Nurse for Endoscopy and GI/Surgical Services. The role is full-time, days, Monday through Friday, 05:30–14:00 with on-call responsibilities.

The nursing team includes a Nurse Director, Clinical Instructors, Charge Nurses, and 26 RNs with Texas licensure. The RN assesses and plans total nursing care, collaborates with other shifts, and supports quality patient outcomes within the Endoscopy department.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License.
• Must maintain a current BLS, ACLS, & PALS certification from American Heart Association.
• BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Acute Care Experienced Required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement or delegate, plan, and evaluate total nursing care for a group of patients.
• Relate effectively with other shifts and departments for continuity of care.
• Provide and direct patient care in accordance with established philosophy and standards.
• Coordinate with Endoscopy leadership to ensure quality and safety.
