Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA seeks an experienced RN for the Endoscopy Unit. You will assess and manage total nursing care, including moderate sedation and monitored anesthesia care, in a level II trauma setting.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll educate patients and families, ensure safety, and contribute to evidence-based care and smooth patient throughput across Riverside Gastroenterology and related units.

Qualifications

• Bachelors, Associates, or Nursing Diploma required and HS diploma/GED if Nursing Diploma graduate.
• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate total nursing care for assigned patients.
• Administer Moderate Sedation and monitor anesthesia care as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure safety.
• Educate patients and families, document care and discharge education.
• Demonstrate evidence-based practice and support patient throughput.
