Job summary

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) at the Department of Veterans Affairs delivers and manages the care of patients undergoing diagnostic endoscopy procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. You will assess, educate, and coordinate care, administer medications and sedation, monitor recovery, and document in the EHR to ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

This role requires a valid RN license, endoscopy experience with conscious sedation, and a Monday–Friday schedule

Qualifications

• Must have RN license (unrestricted) in any US state or territory.
• Experience in endoscopy procedures and conscious sedation.
• Experience with pre-op and post-op patient care and education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients undergoing diagnostic endoscopy inpatients and outpatients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on age-specific needs.
• Administer medications and sedation per policies; monitor recovery from anesthesia/sedation.
