Job description

Schedule Monday-Friday, 4 days per week, with one rotating weekday off. No weekend, no call, and no holidays. ~5:45am and vary from 1-2:30pm based on procedure schedule.

Role Description This part-time, on-site Endoscopy Nurse role is based in Phoenix, AZ and supports patients undergoing endoscopic procedures in an ambulatory surgery center setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing patients and procedure rooms, verifying documentation and consents, and collaborating with physicians and the care team before, during, and after endoscopy procedures. The Endoscopy Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring vital signs, administering medications as ordered, and responding to changes in patient status. Additional tasks include maintaining sterile technique, assisting with endoscopy and minor surgical procedures, documenting care accurately in the medical record, and supporting patient education and discharge instructions. The role requires adherence to infection prevention standards, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines while contributing to a respectful, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical background in Nursing with current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Arizona.
• Knowledge of Medicine and familiarity with gastroenterology or other procedural specialties.
• Hands-on experience in Endoscopy, including assisting with endoscopic procedures and understanding equipment and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated excellence in Patient Care, including assessment, monitoring, patient education, and compassionate communication.
• Experience in Surgery or procedural settings, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital outpatient department.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Prior endoscopy or perioperative nursing experience is preferred but not required; new nurses with relevant clinical rotations may be considered.
