Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Endoscopy Tech on a Casual Days schedule. The role performs reprocessing of endoscopes and related equipment under RN supervision, supports patient care, and helps maintain a safe, efficient ambulatory setting.

You will contribute to turnover between procedures, ensure proper patient identification and transport, and maintain documentation of endoscopes and repairs. A high school diploma and CPR-BLS are required; a BS degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification required.
• Bachelor of Science degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains endoscope reprocessing competencies.
• Identifies problems with endoscope integrity and assists with repairs.
• Maintains documentation on endoscopes inventory and repairs.
• Transports patients safely using wheelchair or stretcher.
• Supports on-time starts and efficient turnover between procedures.
• Locates, obtains, and restocks supplies and equipment.
• Performs skills under physician/nurse supervision.
• Keeps the environment clean and orderly.
• Assists nurse with patient prep before and after procedures.
