Job summary

Galen Medical Group seeks a GI Tech II to assist the Gastroenterologist with endoscopy procedures. You will prepare rooms, equipment, and Endoscopes, ensuring sterile conditions and proper disinfection between cases. You will support patient care, help with positioning and time-out protocols, and assist the circulating staff as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA standards to maintain a safe patient environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• GI experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant License or Surgical Tech.
• BLS certification.
• Familiarity with OSHA/HIPAA/CLIA standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Gastroenterologist with Endoscopy procedures.
• Prepare procedure room, equipment and Endoscopes.
• Ensure sterile, safe environment and proper disinfection.
• Position, prep and drape patients for procedures.
• Support in patient care and time-out protocol.
