Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an ASC RN Supervisor to oversee daily nursing operations at the Ambulatory Surgery Center, ensuring compliant, high-quality patient care and coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 2+ years of ASC experience.
• Leadership experience as Charge Nurse, Supervising RN, or similar role.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and accreditation standards in a surgical setting.
• Ability to lead teams, coordinate patient care, and communicate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of patient care using the nursing process and documentation.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions.
• Provide clinical oversight to nursing staff and promote high standards of care.
• Coordinate care between patients, families, surgeons, anesthesia providers and staff.
• Assist anesthesia personnel during induction and provide care in the OR as needed.
• Monitor storage and use of medications and supplies.
• Maintain a compliant, safe patient care environment.
• Foster professional relationships with patients and team members.
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory readiness initiatives.
• Support leadership to achieve organizational goals and surgical workflows.
