Job summary

OptumCare is seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee daily operations in our ambulatory surgery center. You will supervise patient care teams, coordinate services across departments, and lead floor operations to maintain safe, efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing.
• Current State RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• 2+ years nursing experience in relevant areas (POH/PACU; OR; GI).

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care and nursing activities; coordinate with departments for efficient care.
• Oversee ongoing patient care delivery; adjust assignments by acuity and staff competency.
• Serve as floor leader for patient flow and daily activities.
• Manage non-patient areas (e.g., reprocessing, central supply).
• Provide orientation and coaching on service excellence; participate in QAPI projects.
• Contribute to evaluations, hiring decisions, and performance feedback.
• Lead department goals and address patient concerns with leadership visibility.
• Oversee schedules, PTO, and regular huddles; ensure communication with DMS.
