Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's OptumCare division seeks a Nurse Leader to oversee ambulatory surgery center operations, ensuring safe patient flow and high-quality care. Under supervision of ASC Director or Supervisor, you will coordinate nursing and patient care activities, mentor staff, participate in QAPI projects, and support scheduling and communication across the department.

Required: Associate degree in Nursing, RN license, BLS/ACLS; 2+ years of experience in OR/PACU or related area.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required.
• Current State RN License required.
• BLS and ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• 2+ years nursing experience in area of responsibility (e.g., POH/PACU; OR; GI).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient case management and coordinate nursing/patient care activities.
• Supervise floor operations and patient flow; manage schedules and PTO.
• Lead orientation/education; coach staff on service excellence; participate in QAPI projects.
• Contribute to performance evaluations, hiring decisions and department goals.
• Investigate patient concerns and communicate with management as needed.
