Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina

• Physician Assistant certification
• BCLS recertification every 2 years
• ACLS recertification every 2 years

Responsibilities

• Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self, and others.
• Performs a complete evaluation on new patients and consults.
• Performs focused history and chief complaints for follow-up visits.
• Formulates and updates health management plans.
• Evaluates and reevaluates patient conditions and makes recommendations.
• Prescribes medications.
• Educates and counsels patients.
• Maintains medical records and coordinates care.
• Makes referrals as needed.
• Completes discharge paperwork.
• Works with other Heart Center providers.
• Documents in EHR.
• Keeps licenses and certifications current.
