Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC seeks a Scope Processing Technician II to ensure safe cleaning and disinfection of endoscopes and related equipment in a high-standard clinical setting.

The role requires training in sterile processing, 2+ years in an OR/SPD environment, and current Sterile Processing Certification. Candidates should be comfortable using AER systems, maintaining documentation, and supporting on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a state-approved accredited Surgical Technology/Sterile Processing program.
• Current Sterile Processing Certification (HSPA/CBSPD) preferred; CER preferred.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required within 30 days if not already obtained.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate all Endoscopes & Probes per IFU.
• Reprocess Endoscopes using AER units.
• Perform chemical monitoring of GUS System per High-Level Disinfectant instructions.
• Maintain department cleanliness, restock supplies, and document activities.
• Travel to other scope processing areas as needed; on-call/standby required.
