Job summary

PDS Health in San Diego, CA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will assist with patient care, office and lab duties, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining a clean, organized practice.

As part of the team, you will collaborate with front desk staff and specialists, ensuring smooth orthodontic and general care workflows. On-site training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform patient care, office, and lab duties as part of dental support.
• Proficient in sterilization, disinfection, and instrument processing.
• Ability to take radiographs and intra-oral pictures.
• Strong communication with patients, clinicians, and front desk staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist clinicians during procedures.
• Escort patients from front desk and coordinate with team members.
• Communicate with front and back office to keep the schedule running smoothly.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatory surfaces per guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment in operatorys.
• Record patient notes and treatment information in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records, consents, and health history to clinicians.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are stocked and ready for procedures.
• Join daily huddles and team meetings as required.
