Job summary

Endodontic Associates of Palo Alto is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our specialized Bay Area team. You will support endodontists during procedures, prepare and sterilize instruments, and ensure a comfortable, anxiety-free patient experience.

We value accuracy in charting, radiography, and treatment room readiness. The role requires CA certification, RDA license, and radiation safety credentials, with opportunities to grow in a collaborative, patient-centered practice.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification or equivalent clinical training required.
• Current California RDA license preferred.
• Radiation Safety certification (X-ray license) required.
• Prior endodontic or specialty dental experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with digital radiography and dental practice management software.
• Strong chairside manner and ability to comfort anxious patients.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist endodontists during root canal treatments, apicoectomies, and other endodontic procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, operatories, and treatment trays per infection control protocols.
• Take and process digital X-rays and CBCT scans as directed by the provider.
• Greet and prepare patients for treatment, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation.
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
