Job summary

The Fort Bend Endodontic Specialists PL is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our emergency-based practice. You will assist the dentist during endodontic procedures, manage treatment areas, take x-rays, and ensure patient comfort throughout visits.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30-5:00 pm, with potential lunch breaks or late stays due to emergencies. A strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control is essential to perform effectively in our fast-paced

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant and have your RDA license.
• CPR certified.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with x-ray procedures and equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have.
• Take x-rays and CBCT scans as required, adhering to safety protocols.
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical history.
• Utilize dental software such as TDO patient records management.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
• Assist the dentist during procedures and exams using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and managing waste disposal.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies.
