Qualifications

• RN licensure by state board (Texas) is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in nursing assessment and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing interventions per the plan of care and document patient responses.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and reinforce physician instructions.
• Provide patient education and document outcomes in the medical record.
• Obtain patient consents for research and/or treatment as needed.
• Triage phone inquiries according to protocols and document actions.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed vocational nurses and staff.
