• Obtain required authorizations for visits, procedures, surgeries, and medications.
• Investigate incomplete referrals and follow up with providers to ensure accurate processing.
• Respond to messages related to patient referrals to support scheduling.
• Maintain an organized filing system for referral documents and records.
• Identify, document, and route referral information using electronic systems or phone.
• Answer and direct calls from physicians, nurses, staff, departments, hospitals, and external agencies.
• Adhere to emergency policies and service standards to support patient safety.
