Qualifications

• Must be BC/BE in Endocrinology.
• Completion of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism fellowship.
• New York State licensure or eligibility.
• BLS Certification required.
• DEA Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient endocrinology care with shared inpatient call responsibilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across endocrinology, surgery, nephrology, cardiology, and radiology.
• Supervise and teach residents and medical students in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York is seeking full-time BC/BE Endocrinologist.

• Salary Range: $250,000-$300,000.
• Sign-On Bonus: up to $100,000
• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 3 physicians, 2 diabetes advanced practice clinicians, and 3 diabetes nurse specialists
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
• Outpatient endocrinology clinic care with shared in-patient call responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who have endocrinopathies including disorders of the pituitary, parathyroid, thyroid, adrenals, pancreas, metabolism and bone disease Provide appropriate follow-up care of patients (both in-clinic and remote)
• Collaborate with other specialties (such as endocrine surgery, nuclear medicine, nephrology, cardiology, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, among others) in the care of patients with endocrinopathies
• Supervision and teaching of medical residents and students in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Opportunities for supported clinical research and quality improvement work
• Active involvement in division meetings, quality improvement work and CME (such as Medicine Grand Rounds)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $250,000-$300,000.
• This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
