Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and receives patients/families for all department services (appointments, testing, procedures).
  • Answers and routes telephone calls from within or outside of the organization.
  • Types reports, letters and dictation, Xeroxing, faxing, and data entry into various applications.
  • Coordinates office procedures and efficient operations of department.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, hospital staff, and external partners.
  • Uses Microsoft applications for reports, letters, forms, etc.
  • May assist with timekeeping and tracking of staff requirements.
  • Maintains office supplies and assists with project work.
  • Participates in cross coverage with other secretaries/departments.
