Job summary

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi in Wichita, KS is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an outpatient Endocrinology clinic. This full-time role offers a schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, working with an established Endocrinology team.

You will obtain patient histories, conduct comprehensive endocrine evaluations, and collaborate with an experienced physician to diagnose and manage hormonal and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire/transfer date.
• Nurse Practitioner licensed or eligible in Kansas (or PA licensure) before hire date.
• 1+ years APP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and perform comprehensive endocrine evaluations.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests for hormonal/metabolic disorders.
• Provide direct treatment and ongoing management for diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, and metabolic bone diseases.

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant eager to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and shape the future of metabolic health within our community.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Specialty: Endocrinology
• Call structure: No Call
• Practice setting: Outpatient endocrinology clinic
• EMR System: Cerner
• Must be licensed or eligible for state licensure and DEA registration
• Partner with tenured Endocrinology Physician and Advanced Practice Provider to provide medical services to patients
• Obtain patient history, perform comprehensive endocrine evaluations, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures for hormonal and metabolic disorders
• Provide direct treatment and ongoing management for complex endocrine conditions, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders, and metabolic bone disease, alongside patient education
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

Work Experience

• Endocrinology experience highly preferred.
• 1+ years of APP experience preferred.
