Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) in Chicago, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team in endocrinology. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, record vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and assist providers during procedures in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; MA diploma or 2 years MA exp, or certified MA with 2 years exp.
• Medical assisting experience preferred for clinical support tasks.
• Ability to document accurately in the electronic health record.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient flow; greet patients and support transitions into care.
• Take and record vital signs, collect histories, and prepare patients for exams.
• Assist providers during procedures and administer medications/vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab tasks and point-of-care testing; document care in EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.
