Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) in Chicago, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team in endocrinology. You will handle vital signs, patient preparation, and documentation in the electronic health record, contributing to a seamless, compassionate patient experience.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with one half-day; no weekends or holidays. Requires MA diploma or 2 years MA experience (or certified MA with 2 years).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience, or certified MA with 2 years experience.
• Ability to adhere to regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
