University of Chicago Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Endocrinology team at the Hyde Park clinic. This is a 100% onsite role based in the greater Chicagoland area, with days 9:00am–5:30pm and a 40-hour workweek.

The role requires phlebotomy experience, CMA-certified training, CPR, and experience in community health settings. You will perform direct patient care, vital signs, tests, specimen collection, and documentation per policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• Phlebotomy experience
• Experience in a community health setting
• Graduated from CMA-certified program (AHA/ARC)

Responsabilités

• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Document patient care per hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families as delegated by RN/physician.
• Perform tests (pregnancy, urinalysis, hemoccult).
