Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Endocrinology team at the Hyde Park clinic. This 100% onsite role requires base in the greater Chicagoland area. You will provide direct patient care, document care, perform phlebotomy, and assist with specimen collection as part of the Endocrinology unit.

The position emphasizes Pride Values, patient-centered care, and collaboration with RNs and physicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience in a community health setting preferred.
• Graduate of CMA-certified program recognized by AHA/ARC.
• CMA credential required or CMA-certified program completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care duties as assigned by RN or physician.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform tests such as pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and hemoccults.
• Document patient care according to hospital policies.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect/label specimens per standards.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
