Job summary

UNC Health is hiring for a Medical Assistant to support our endocrine outpatient clinic in Chapel Hill. The role requires CMA/RMA certification, strong vitals, EKG, phlebotomy skills, and proficient EHR usage. You will help with scheduling, patient check-in/out, and patient-centric care in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in endocrinology or specialty outpatient care is preferred. This is a full-time onsite position at the UNC Hospitals Outpatient Center at Eastowne, with a Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• HS diploma is required; CMA/RMA certification is mandatory.
• Experience in Endocrinology or specialty outpatient care preferred.
• Proficient in vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy and EHR documentation.
• Knowledge of scheduling and patient check-in/out processes.
• Strong communication, teamwork and patient-centered care.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical assisting duties in an outpatient endocrinology setting.
• Record vital signs, perform EKGs, draw blood as needed.
• Document in the electronic medical record and schedule visits.
• Assist providers and support patient flow and check-in/out.
