Job summary

CoxHealth's Cox Surgery Center in Springfield, MO seeks a Medical Assistant III to support frontline clinical operations in a busy ambulatory setting.

You will perform administrative tasks, take patient vitals, prepare rooms, review medications, and may administer medications under supervision. A high school diploma and approved MA program completion are required, with certification/registration preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from MA training program including pharmacology and externship.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA or CoxHealth approved certification/registration required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments under supervision.
• Measure vital signs and collect demographics and medical info.
• Prepare patients for examination, clean rooms and stock supplies; administer medications.
