Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant III for the Springfield, MO ambulatory clinics. You will support front desk tasks and patient care under supervision, ensuring accurate records and smooth clinic flow.

This role requires completing an approved MA program with pharmacology and externship, a high school diploma, and strong communication; prior health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an MA training program with pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, and medication administration basics.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and enter data in medical records under supervision.
• Measure and record vital signs and collect patient demographics and medication lists.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist with room preparation and supply stocking.
• Administer medications as directed and maintain medication safety.
• Work independently and with the care team to support patient flow and care.
