Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant III to support Orthopedics SGF with administrative and clinical tasks. The role includes scheduling, vitals, patient prep, and basic medication administration under supervision.

Requirements include a High School diploma and completion of an MA training program with externship; CMA/AAMA or equivalent certification is preferred. 40 hours per week, day shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an MA training program with pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, medication administration basics and externship.
• CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP certifications from CoxHealth approved programs.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Data entry in medical records.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination.
• Assist with administration of medications under supervision.
