Job summary

CoxHealth Ferrell Duncan Clinic in Springfield, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant III to support the 1269 Colorectal Surgery SGF team. You will perform administrative duties, take vital signs, prepare patients for examinations and assist with medication administration under supervision.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an MA training program with pharmacology, anatomy/physiology and a clinical externship; strong communication and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Completion of an MA training program that included pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, medication administration and a clinical externship.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and scheduling appointments.
• Measure and record vital signs; prepare patients for examination and assist with medication administration.
• Stock rooms and supply areas; maintain medical records under supervision.
