Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for day shift. You will assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

You’ll provide education to patients and families, advocate for their safety, and participate in quality initiatives. Requires RN license, Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), BLS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
• Develops and implements patient care plans with interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes per nursing standards.
• Demonstrates competency in IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocates for patient safety, rights, and education tailored to learning readiness and needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care for high-risk patients.
• Delivers patient and family education using teach-back methods.
• Participates in patient experience and satisfaction initiatives.
• Ensures accurate documentation in EHR and adherence to hospital policies.
