Job summary

Bronson Diabetes & Endocrinology in Portage, MI is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. The role supports providers with patient assessments, vital signs, history taking, medications, and patient education. You will document information in patient charts and coordinate labs and referrals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• CMA/CCMA/RMA certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• BLS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Perform clinical skills as per Medical Assistant Certification/Registration.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent interpersonal service.
• Input and retrieve data from EMR and charting systems accurately.
• Prepare patients for examinations including histories and vital signs.
• Assist with procedures (laceration repair, pap/pelvic, etc.) and coordinate referrals and tests.
